LISTEN : 'First Train Home' Lays Tracks For Imogen Heap's US Success

Today marked the world premiere of the first single off of Imogen Heap's upcoming, highly anticipated new album, 'Ellipse' (August 24th UK, August 25th North America).
Premiering on Santa Monica, California radio station KCRW, 'First Train Home' is a sweeping electronic track. Heap told Radio Host Jason Bently,"...it was written about a really kind of rubbish night in Brighton when I just... I had so much going on in my head and I just didn't want to be there... I just really wanted to be somewhere else... I had gotten the first train home back to my home in Essex and went to the piano and this is the song that I wrote..."
Since it's premiere it has also been posted on Stereogum.com, becoming one of the sites most commented on items in just a matter of hours (no doubt thanks to her 680, 000+ twitter followers who were given access to the web page via a link in Heaps twitter posts).

'First Train Home' becomes available for digital download on July 14th.
